WE ARE BACK!
Spring has always been a time for renewal, and BOY, do we NEED some renewal! Join us as we Run Like a Girl into 2022 on Saturday, May 14th. Our traditional Half Marathon and 10K Runs will return with all of the fun you remember, just from the other side of the calendar! The Interurban trail, with all of the sparkling bay views, will be exploding in gorgeous spring-green glory!
Grab your friends for a Girls' Weekend, or bring your family to cheer you on. We like to think of this as The Other Mother's Day, where we get to treat all the mother-types and those who love them to the most fun-per-mile event around. As always, everyone is welcome - dogs, partners, and friends of all genders can Run Like a Girl together
Don't you worry - the RLAG Shindig Dinner is also returning on Friday, May 13th at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club. The Department of Fun planning committee is excited to welcome you to a night of Girls on the Run-inspired fun and empowerment! We will gather to honor and raise funds for program scholarships that are more necessary than ever. Join us for dinner, games, a silent auction and plenty of opportunities to learn about Girls on the Run’s mission through an inspiring afterschool program. Come out and fill your belly and your soul before hitting the trail with us at Fairhaven Park the next morning.
The driving force behind this event is the ability
to provide funding for Girls on the Run!
The Girls on the Run program provides preadolescent girls with the necessary tools to embrace their individual strengths and successfully navigate life experience. Our annual Run Like a Girl 10k and Half Marathon is the signature fundraiser for Girls on the Run scholarships. Your support ensures that we can continue to grow to serve more girls, schools and communities in the coming years.
Not able to attend the event or would like to help Girls on the Run right away?
We have a variety of options available to provide extra financial support to Girls on the Run.
Stay and Play
Coming from out of town? Live in the area but looking for a fun staycation? There are a lot of fun places to stay, dine and visit in Bellingham. Make a weekend of it, you won't regret it!

Heritage Bank believes in the possibilities for each and every person—and the power of community to improve the lives of those around us.
We invest significant time and resources toward creating hope and opportunities in the areas we serve. Whether we're sponsoring philanthropic events such as Run Like a Girl or building houses for Habitat for Humanity, we're always looking for ways to plug in and give back.
Serving our neighbors is what we do. It's what we've done for more than 90 years. And it's as core to our company as our banking services. We know when neighbors help neighbors, the whole community benefits. And that's true prosperity.
